The history, precisely
The roots are in 1969, when the partnership firm Mysore Thermo Electric Industries was started by Shri A. Govindan with a partner. In 1975 the business was incorporated as Mysore Thermo Electric Private Limited, and it has traded under that name since. Approvals from RDSO — Indian Railways’ Research Designs and Standards Organisation — followed in 1994, and batteries for railway duties have been the company’s work ever since: signalling, traction distribution, diesel locomotive starting, end-on generation, electric locomotive and EMU applications.
